A totally, different awesome side to John Grisham's. His will always potrays the courtroom drama, the terror or the suspense that will eventually lead to an unexpecting climax. Written ever so perfectly. But with 'Skipping Christmas', it's different. No courtroom drama, no terror neither suspense to keep the adrenalin pumping. But it's a hilarious and funny tale which is intewined with a classic - celebrating Christmas. How a couple, Luther and Nora Krank had decided to skip Christmas for once; to avoid the hustle and bustle of celebrating Christmas and to save a bundle in the Christmas shopping. It all started when their daughter, Blair had to go away for a year to serve the Peace Corps. And Luther was struck with the brilliant-at-first idea of skipping Christmas. But one phone call just turned everything around.
How these couple tried to avoid the glances, looks on the street and the questions that were thrown their way when it was heard they were skipping Christmas, were funny and witty.
This is another hit with John Grisham. A good book to get down with on those lazy afternoons? Or maybe to catch in between those train rides? Get it and i'm pretty sure, you are going to enjoy every bits of it. I did. kiezamy # 1:28 PM
